Both these servers are Dual Quad Core Xeons and each has 12 GB of RAM. All websites run on the master server and any files which get modified are flagged by FAM which then requests RSYNC to transfer the files to the slave server. The data is immediately moved and the entire process takes a fraction of a second. This process also doesn't use any additional resources and it therefore won't affect the performance of your websites.

If for some reason the master server goes down, the mirroring script running on the slave server binds the secondary IP of the master server (the IP allocated to websites) and all other Dedicated IPs. Websites then start resolving from the slave server in a fraction of a second and they will function in the same way that they did on the master server. Our Support Department will then take the necessary steps to bring the master server back online and sync with the latest available data on the slave server.
